Learning to Samba!
We are learning the samba moves from the movie 'Rio 2'.
Although these lessons are designed for KS2 classes, the children in year 2 were great movers and picked up the steps really well!
Handwriting Competition Winners
Children from year 2 proudly received a medal for winning the annual handwriting competition. The overall KS1 winner also received a book token and their name engraved on the shield. Well done to everyone who entered.
Many of the children in year 2 are starting to use joined up writing more regularly - keep it up!
KS1 Charity Day
Book and Bun Sale!
We raised lots of money for our school charity. Thank you very much to everyone who brought in cakes and books for us to sell.
KS1 Sports Day
The weather was kind to us, it stayed dry but wasn't too hot...a perfect day for our annual KS1 sports day!
It was great fun!
Thank you to all the spectators who came along to share the day with the children, to the year 6 and staff helpers and our wonderful school choir who performed 'Let It Go' beautifully!!

Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution Day
On Friday May 16th year 2 took part in a cooking lesson delivered by Jamie Oliver that was streamed live over the Internet! It was very exciting!!!
Over 1 million people took part (from all over the world!) and made a rainbow salad wrap. We are now World Record Breakers for taking part in the biggest live cooking lesson ever! Thank you to the parents and staff who helped make it all possible.
Getting ready!
Time to get cooking!!
Grating the raw vegetables.
Mixing it all together and adding the feta cheese.
Putting the salad on the wraps and rolling it up.
Finally, enjoying what we made! Yummy!!
